Jim Hall, Principal Consultant, is a world-class expert, working with clients in the successful implementation of multivariable control projects. Jim has 30 years of experience working with client engineering teams to identify opportunities to deliver process control solutions. Jim has extensive knowledge of many oil refinery process units which is critical in the successful implementation of matrix solutions. He has successfully implemented multivariable control projects on Crude, Coker, Vacuum, Hydrocracker, FCC, Alkylation, Hydro-treater, Hydrogen and Gas Plants at client sites worldwide. Jim’s understanding of the processes up-stream and down-stream from the project unit, as well as blending downstream, aids in delivering comprehensive process control solutions. As a licensed Aspen Integration Service Provider (ISP), Jim has excellent knowledge of Aspen Tech’s products and has successfully implemented numerous projects utilizing DMCplus® controllers. As a former Honeywell employee, Jim has significant experience on Honeywell’s DCS platforms and using Honeywell's Profit Controller® (RMPCT). Jim worked for Shell Oil Company, at a refinery site in California. He is a registered Professional Engineer. Jim serves on the Montana State University Chemical Engineering Advisory Board and occasionally serving as a guest instructor teaching process control.
Kris Hall, Business Director, manages the commercial side of Hall Controls’ business. Kris manages the administration of bids and proposals, contracts, marketing, human resources, strategic planning, finance and tax preparation. Prior to working at Hall Controls, Kris gained industry experience with Shell Oil at a refinery site in California and at Shell corporate headquarters in Houston. Kris worked as a financial analyst for Honeywell Industrial Automation and Control in Phoenix, in Financial Reporting and in finance positions supporting Research & Development, Customer Satisfaction and Manufacturing. Hall Controls is located in Bozeman, Montana, which offers wonderful recreational opportunities to supplement client training or work sessions. Nestled in the Gallatin River valley surrounded by mountains, Bozeman offers mountain-biking and hiking and skiing at Big Sky and Bridger Bowl. Blue ribbon trout fly fishing is available nearby on the Madison, Gallatin and Yellowstone rivers.
